Dr. Gill has consulted to teams tasked to national security, counter-terrorism, kidnapping, and organized crime, all with a focus on analysis of communication and development of strategies. He has consulted to law enforcement agencies at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels. His practice, is located in Vancouver British Columbia, offers organizational consults, psychological assessments, and psychotherapy. He is registered as a psychologist in the province of British Columbia.
Dr. Gill received his masters degree from McGill university and his doctorate from University of Calgary, both in psychology. His doctoral research focused on analysis of statements within dyadic interactions to examine meta messages and their influence on the relationship.
Dr. Gill is an associate of the Clinical Psychology Centre, Simon Fraser University. He has taught graduate courses at University of Calgary, Athabasca University, University of Northern British Columbia, and City University. He has provided training to a broad range of professionals (e.g. Western States Hostage Negotiators’ Association) developing nuanced communication skills and strategies.
